We attended the Colormix 2016 Color Forecast hosted at the Washington DC Design Center on November 5th. The event was well attended by the design community. Basic on-going trends are color and material finish combinations. Blending color with metal and glass for example. There will be unique introductions of new materials due to science and technology influences incorporated into the manufacturing process; creating new materials that can be incorporated into furnishings and artistry. Southern cities will more than likely be influenced by the revitalized relationship with Cuba. There are many exciting new technologies on the horizon and these will influence color, design, materials, and finished products!
